Placinta cu pui, praz si mazare – Chicken, leek and peas pie

O reteta de sezon, inspirata tot de pe acest minunat site culinar. Sper sa va placa!

 

Ingrediente:

  • 20g unt;
  • 600-700g piept file, taiat cubulete;
  • 2 prazuri spalate, taiate marunt;
  • 1 bucata telina taiata;
  • 1 lg. cimbru;
  • 2-3 lg. faina sau amidon;
  • 1 cana si jumatate supa de pui;
  • ¾ cana smantana;
  • 400g cartofi, cubulete;
  • ½ cana mazare (sau o conserva mica);
  • 1 lg. mustar;
  • Foitaj;
  • 1 galbenus usor batut;
  • Sare, piper dupa gust;
  • Optional seminte de susan sau oregano uscat.

 

 

Incalziti untul intr-o tigaie mare si gatiti puiul amestecand, pana se rumeneste, adaugati praz, telina si cimbru. Gatiti amestecand la foc mediu spre mic 5-7 minute pana cand se inmoaie telina. Adaugati faina (amidon, supa si cartofii. Reduceti focul si lasati sa se inabuse 10-12 minute pana cand se inmoaie cartofii, adaugati mazare, mustar, smantana, sare, piper dupa gust.

Impartiti foitajul in 2 foi, montati placinta intr-un vas suficient de adanc, ungeti cu galbenus batut si presarati, daca vreti, susan sau oregano uscat. Introduceti in cuptorul incalzit la 200 C, coaceti aproximativ 25 minute sau pana se aureste.

Ingredients:

 

  • 20g butter;
  • 600-700g chicken breast, sliced, diced;
  • 2 leeks, trimmed, finely cut;
  • 1 piece of celery stalk, finely chopped;
  • 1 tbs. thyme;
  • 2-3 tbs. flour/starch;
  • 1 and a half cup of chicken broth;
  • ¾ cup cream;
  • 400g potatoes, diced;
  • ½ cup peas (or a small can);
  • 1 tbs. mustard;
  • Puff pastry;
  • 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten;
  • Salt and pepper, at your appreciation;
  • Optional, sesame seeds or dry oregano.

 

Heat the butter in a large pan and cook the chicken, stirring until it’s golden, add the leek, celery and thyme. Cook stirring on medium-low heat for 5-7 minutes until the celery softens. Add the flour (starch), chicken broth and potatoes. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, until the potatoes soften, add peas, mustard, cream, salt and pepper according to your preferences.

Divide the pastry in 2, arrange the pie in a deep enough oven dish, spread on top the yolk and, optional, sesame seeds or oregano. Heat the oven at 200 C and cook around 25 minutes or until golden.
