Piept de pui cu ananas – Chicken breast with pineapple

Aceasta este o reteta pe care am gasit-o acum multi ani intr-un colt de internet pe care am adaptat-o putin si acum doresc sa v-o impartasesc si voua. Din pacate, nu am retinut sursa (pe atunci nu ma prea preocupa acest aspect). In ciuda faptului ca pare putin neobisnuita alaturarea de ceapa si ananas, rezultatul este deosebit de gustos.



  • 500 – 600 g piept de pui, spalat, taiat cubulete medii (in jur de 2,5 cm);
  • 2 sau 3 cepe de marime medie (pot fi de culori diferite), taiate marunt;
  • 2 morcovi, fierti, taiati bastonase;
  • 350g ananas sau o cutie cu compot de ananas(doar fruct, fara sirop) bucati;
  • O cutie rosii taiate;
  • Condiment Barbecue pentru pui sau paprika;
  • Ulei de masline;
  • Sare, piper, optional Mirodenia.

Pieptul se asaza intr-un vas potrivit pentru cuptor, se presara cu condiment Barbecue sau paprika si se coace circa 25 de minute la foc mediu. Intre timp se prepara sosul: se incinge putin ulei intr-o tigaie adanca si se caleste ceapa. Se adauga morcovii, ananasul, rosiile, sare, piper dupa gust si, optional, mirodenia. Se amesteca pe foc cateva minute. Opriti focul. Serviti puiul cu sos deasupra sau amestecati-le, dupa cum preferati. Pofta buna!

  • Se poate servi cu success insotit de orez, fasole verde sau aceste triunghiuri din cartofi preparate la cuptor.




This is a recipe I found many years ago in a corner of the internet, I adapted it a little and now I want to share with you. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to remember the source of it (this wasn’t in my mind too much, back then). Despite the seemingly unusual mix of onion and pineapple, the result is very tasty.



  • 500-600 g chicken breast, washed, medium diced (around 2.5 cm);
  • 2-3 onions (can be of different colors), finely chopped;
  • 2 carrots, previously boiled, cut Julien;
  • 350g pineapple or a canned pineapple in syrup (remove the syrup), pieces;
  • One can chopped tomatoes;
  • Barbecue spices for chicken or paprika;
  • Olive oil;
  • Salt, pepper.

Put the chicken breast in an ovenproof dish and sprinkle the barbecue condiment or paprika on it. Bake it in the oven on medium heat around 25 minutes. Meanwhile prepare the sauce: heat some olive oil in a large pan and cook the onion a bit, then add the carrots, pineapple, tomatoes, salt, pepper according to your taste. Cook stirring for a couple of minutes. Remove from heat. Serve the chicken with the pineapple mixture on top or mix them all together, as you prefer. Enjoy!

  • You can serve this with rice, green beans or some oven made hash browns.
